BOMBAY ASHRAM

PURANA HANUMAN PITH ASHRAM – BOMBAY

 

Dhyanyogi Omdasji is the Gadipati of the Purana (Old) Hanuman Temple Ashram in Bombay. His senior disciple and saint, Shri Paramhamsa Baba is a joint Gadipati here and takes care of the temple in the absence of Dhyanyogi Omdasji.

 

At the age of 14 Omdasji was adopted by Swami Jamunadasji. Swami Jamundasji was the Gadipati of the Ancient Hanuman Temple in Bombay. On January 26, 1995, Omdasji inherited the temple and the responsibilities of its upkeep from his mentor

 

The Purana Hanuman Temple is a Siddh Pith. It is an ancient powerful spot where one can attain the powers or siddhis of mantra through austerities or tapas.

The temple houses many shrines but the central shrine is dedicated to Lord Hanuman.Here Lord Hanuman is present along with Shri Ganesh and Maa Parvathi.

This central figure of the three Gods shown here in this picture is swayambo or natural. This temple exists since the time of Pandavas. It is said that the Pandavas worshipped here.

SWAYAMBO GANESH, HANUMAN AND MAA DURGA


Saints and monks of all religions from different parts of India and visiting disciples stay here and perform austerities. They are provided with free accommodation and food.

 

Poor, needy and homeless are feed at the Bombay Ashram daily.About 300-500 people have fresh, nourishing food here everyday

 

Religious and spiritual activities and conferences for the welfare of public are conducted here regularly by the disciples of Dhyanyogi Omdasji.

 

Dhyanyogi Omdasji spends most of his time in the Ahmedabad Ashram or Bombay Ashram.
